TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) -- The Cardinals on Monday released rookie tight end D.C. Jefferson and signed tight end Jake Ballard.
Coach Bruce Arians said the release of Jefferson had nothing to do with the rookie's arrest Friday night in Scottsdale on suspicion of extreme DUI. Arians said the decision to release Jefferson had been made earlier Friday.
