Cardinals beat writer Mike Jurecki suspects Michael Floyd will see an increased role when Arizona comes out of their Week 10 bye. Floyd has been working strictly as the team’s fourth receiver this season, but he has seen increased snaps throughout the past few weeks. Early Doucet’s playing time is expected to take a hit after the slot receiver dropped at least three passes on Sunday afternoon. Pro Football Focus has credited Doucet with five dropped passes in the past six games, not including Week 9. Arizona’s shaky quarterback situation doesn’t bode well for Floyd’s fantasy outlook, but it’s a good sign the first-round pick is starting to come around. Floyd looked great a week ago in garbage time, and will need to get the Cardinals offense rolling.  Since starting off big time, they have been on a downward spiral.  Arizona will need to get going, if they want to win football games.

Michael Floyd Headed For Bigger Role in Arizona

Arizona Cardinals rookie wideout Michael Floyd will see his playing time increase, according to coach Ken Whisenhunt.Fantasy Spin:At this point we can't see Floyd getting enough opportunities to have any fantasy value this season. He's still sitting behind Larry Fitzgerald, Andre Roberts and Early Doucet. And of course his quarterback is either John Skelton or Kevin Kolb.

Cardinals lose LB O'Brien Schofield for season

The Arizona Cardinals have lost starting outside linebacker O'Brien Schofield for the season with an injured left ankle. Schofield was injured in Sunday's 31-17 loss at Green Bay. Initially, it was thought it probably was only a sprain but further examination uncovered ligament damage that requires surgery. Quintin Groves replaced Schofield in the game and is expected to...

Kevin Kolb Returning “Sooner Rather Than Later”

Cardinals HC Ken Whisenhunt told reporters on Monday that he expects to have QB Kevin Kolb back “sooner rather than later,” but wouldn’t offer a specific timetable for his return, per Darren Urban. Kolb has been out for a few weeks now with a number of injuries. Since John Skelton has taken over, Arizona has dropped four straight games with Skelton producing 2 passing touchdowns...

Cardinals move Potter to LT, consider other moves

The Cardinals are going to give rookie Nate Potter a shot at left tackle, and coach Ken Whisenhunt says more changes might be coming as Arizona looks to end a five-game losing streak. A seventh-round draft pick out of Boise State, Potter entered Sunday's game at Green Bay in the second quarter, replacing D'Anthony Batiste. Whisenhunt says he was ''very impressed...

Larry Fitzgerald Spent His Down Time Feeding a Panther This Past Week

The Arizona Cardinals have hit a rough patch of the season and are now looking like a team that may struggle to remain .500 after a great start to the year. Unfortunately, Larry Fitzgerald is one of those guys who could have done so much more if he had a quarterback. Imagine if Rodgers was throwing to Fitz. It’d be insane – anyway, Fitz kept busy during his off week and fed this...

Beanie Wells Will “No Doubt” Be Back In Week 12

Cardinals RB Beanie Wells told reporters that there’s “no doubt” he will be back in time for the team’s Week 12 matchup against the St Louis Rams, via AzCardinals.com. Wells was placed on IR with the designation to return and could return to practice as soon as Wednesday. Arizona has their bye this weekend and considering that Wells will not be available for Week 11, La’Rod...

Missed opportunities cost Arizona - again

It's going to be one long bye week for the Arizona Cardinals. The Cardinals cut a 17-point deficit to a touchdown late in the third quarter, only to give up a 72-yard score less than a minute later that sealed their fifth straight loss. Arizona (4-5) would pick up just one first down the rest of the game, a 31-17 Green Bay victory, and will spend the next week wondering how...

Beanie Wells Hangs With Some Friends

These guys have the hookups Juan…  Beanie Wells was in Scottsdale hanging out with some friends the other night.  The funny thing about this picture is that the guy on the right is a club promoter that I have know for a bunch of years going back to my bartending in Scottsdale clubs days.  I still play against that fool in multiple fantasy leagues and he is definitely one of...

Beanie Wells says he’ll be back by week 12

According to the Arizona Cardinals official website, running back Benaie Wells has indicated there’s “no doubt about it” that he’ll be ready for the Cardinals’ week 12 game against the Rams. Wells is excited about getting back to practice tomorrow. “Heck yeah I’m real excited,” Wells said. “It’s been a challenge. It’s hard to be out there and watch practice...

Cardinals LB O'Brien Schofield Done For The Season, Placed On IR

Cardinals head coach Ken Whisenhunt confirmed that LB O’Brien Schofield will go on injured reserve with an ankle injury. Schofield got tangled up with teammate Darnell Docket in the second half of the Cardinals’ loss to the Packers on Sunday and suffered the left ankle injury. The third-year pro has started all nine games this season and has 34 tackles and four sacks. Ex-Raider...

Leach unleashes in wake of "pitiful effort"

ON THIS SATURDAY, it seemed that the real show started after the game ended. Mike Leach’s postgame remarks were explosive, accusatory and, in their own right, just as big of a disaster as his team’s 49-6 loss at Utah. The Utes outgained the Cougars 453 to 255 in total yards as the hapless crew from the Palouse gave up six sacks and tallied negative-4 rushing yards.

COMMENTARY: Leach doing program no service

OVER THE PAST several weeks, Washington State coach Mike Leach has publicly criticized his football players. The Cougars are 2-7 and deserve criticism, but coaches typically yell at their players at practice or rip them in private. They don’t berate them in front of the media.

Green Bay Packers Cruise Over Arizona Cardinals: Hero-Zero Of The Game

This win for the Packers is more proof that their slow start to the season is nothing to worry about and they are back in the running for the Super Bowl.  On the other side, this loss for the Cardinals also proved something about their fast start to the season, it was a fluke.  After starting the season 4-0, the Cardinals have since lost five straight games and are no longer in...
