This year’s AFC Championship is a rematch of the one played last year in which the Patriots were victorious. Last year’s game could have gone to overtime but a missed field goal by Billy Cundiff ended the game in regulation. This could be Ray Lewis’s last game in the NFL, so the Ravens continue to have have some added emotion and motivation for this game. Baltimore Ravens Just like the Falcons, the Ravens barely made it to play this week. They were down by a touchdown with under a minute left last week when Joe Flacco threw a miraculous 70-yard touchdown to Jacoby Jones. It was their last hope to tie the game, and it was a successful one. The game then went all the way into double overtime, where the Ravens won on a 47-yard field goal. It was a surprising win over the Broncos who seemed to be on their way to a victory. Denver may have pulled out a win if not for an interception thrown by Peyton Manning that set up the game-winning field goal for the Ravens. It was an awful pass tha...

NFL Rumors: Will San Francisco 49ers bring back Billy Cundiff?

Heading into the playoffs, the San Francisco 49ers brought in free agent kicker Billy Cundiff to battle struggling placekicker David Akers. Cundiff was eventually released, but one has to wonder after last night’s game against the Atlanta Falcons, if the Niners will bring Cundiff back as the team prepares for the Super Bowl. Akers has struggled this season. After leading all kickers...

Stories to focus on besides Harbowl and Ray Lewis (and why those 2 stories aren’t that interesting)

Last year, after the Eagles and Falcons seasons went approximately nowhere, I was one of the ones rooting for a Harbowl. The thought of two teams with physical defenses playing each other was too tempting for me to resist. This year, I get my wish, although I’m less happy about it because this was supposed to be my Falcons’ year. But this year the matchup is also more exciting...

James ‘Raven Manic’ Long Has Best NFL Fan Haircut Of 2013

Ravens fans are getting ready for what might be Ray Lewis’ last game in purple and black. Heading to New England isn’t going to be a cakewalk but Ravens superfan James Long doesn’t seem to be letting that get to him. We’ll say it right now. He has the best fan haircut of 2013. Wes Welker’s Wife Slams Ray Lewis In Facebook Rant

The following Facebook rant appears to be another case of a wife of a NFL player getting a bit heated while defending her man’s honor. 49ers waive K Cundiff

The San Francisco 49ers are sticking with David Akers. San Francisco announced Friday that it waived kicker Billy Cundiff. Cundiff was signed by the 49ers on Jan. 1 to compete with the struggling Akers. The 49ers decided to keep Akers as their regular kicker but left Cundiff on the roster prior to their playoff victory over the Green Bay Packers last week. However, they did not...

Baltimore Police Department Makes Tribute Video To The Ravens

This video from the Baltimore Police Department contains some pretty funny stuff.  They made a tribute video with a woman cop rapping, and some pretty bad Ray Lewis dancing impressions.  Things are heating up for the match-up on Sunday night between the Ravens and the Patriots.  First we had the billboard counting down to Ray Lewis' retirement party.  Now Baltimore cops are...

Super BRAH!

"I've always had the prettier boner." And here we are.  The ************* HarBOWL.  ******* gag me already.  Any human rooting for the Ravens in this situation can get their dick ripped out at the root.  The vision of Ray Lewis hoisting another Super Bowl trophy over his head is enough to make...

Baltimore Ravens: Five Reasons They Will Lose the AFC Title Game

I remember it like it was yesterday. With 1:44 left on the clock, Joe Flacco drove his Ravens down the field with methodical purpose-- 2nd-and-1 from the 14, he promptly hit Lee Evens right in the hands for the apparent go-ahead touchdown. Knocked away by Sterling Moore. We all know what happened after that. Billy Cundiff's shanked 32-yard field goal crushed the Ravens'...

Super Bowl Betting: Odds favor 49ers over Ravens

If anyone thinks the Baltimore Ravens feel slighted by being underdogs on the Super Bowl odds menu, think again. Baltimore just won outright on the road as a 9-point underdog at Denver and then as an 8-point underdog at New England. Getting 4.5 points (bet down to 4 points early in the week according to the NFL odds menu at OddsShark.com) just makes it easier. Online sportsbooks...

Round Table: Key to the Game

What is your key to the game for the AFC Championship? Stephen:  The key to making it back to the Super Bowl will be preventing big plays. Joe Flacco played a great game in the 2012 AFC Championship, but his team came up short thanks to Billy Cundiff. Flacco shredded the Broncos last week and is out to prove he's elite. The Patriots must limit the big plays from Jacoby Jones...
