Pittsburgh Steelers safety Troy Polamalu made a valiant effort to time the snap on an extra point block attempt against Baltimore during the fourth quarter of Sunday's game at Heinz Field. Polamalu made a nice leap over the Ravens center, but he was just a bit too early. Still, Polamalu gets an 'A' for effort on this play. H/T BR. Visit us at holdoutsports.com...
Even though the Pittsburgh Steelers didn’t make the playoffs in 2012, Charlie Batch did lead them to a dramatic upset of the eventual Super Bowl-champion Baltimore Ravens in early December.
When Shaun Suisham’s field goal sailed through the uprights as time ran out in Baltimore, Batch and Ben Roethlisberger embraced for at least 30 seconds. They knew they were nearing the end...
The Pittsburgh Steelers have won two straight games. The Steelers beat their divisional rivals, the Baltimore Ravens, 19-16 in dramatic fashion.
Shaun Suisham kicked a game winning field goal in the final seconds to lift the Steelers over the Ravens. Suisham just might be the team’s MVP so far this season. The kicker deserves a lot of credit.
Suisham was a perfect 4 for 4 against...
Looks like the Steelers are ready to put all their eggs in Le’Veon Bell’s basket as they’ve let go of Isaac Redman in an attempt to clear up some roster space.
The team announced they would be letting go of Redman in order to promote linebacker Kion Wilson from the practice squad.
Redman who had been inactive for the past three week should have his fair share of teams interested...
Did anyone else expect to see Ben Roethlisberger go all Jim Valvano and run across the Heinz Field turf desperately looking for Charlie Batch after Sunday’s game?
Aren’t Batch and Roethlisberger supposed to engage in a minute-long bro hug whenever Shaun Suisham kicks a last-second field goal in a Pittsburgh Steelers’ win over the Baltimore Ravens?
Suisham’s 42-yard field...
The Steelers win over the Ravens last night was enormous for many, many reasons. The first of which is probably just the elation of victory sweeping through Steeler Nation right now. But there are some other things we like about this win that will help the Steelers flip this season around.
1. The AFC North Is Up for Grabs
Can't repeat this enough. The AFC playoff...

The Pittsburgh Steelers enter the second half clinging to a four-point lead after relinquishing an 11th hour turnover on a Heath Miller fumble that led to a Baltimore Ravens field goal to end the half with the score of 10-6. The Ravens open the second half with the ball after deferring on the opening coin toss.
Jacoby Jones returned the opening kickoff out to the...
We have seen Troy do this so many times, where he appears to have a six sense about the snap count. Not so much here. See the GIF below:

Over the past couple years, the Pittsburgh Steelers were more often than not able to turn to Jason Worilds whenever they needed an injury replacement at outside linebacker, either for James Harrison or LaMarr Woodley.
This year, he was supposed to take the next step and become the starter, but after beginning the season with the title, it was just a week later that...

Yesterday, we highlighted some of the struggles that Pittsburgh Steelers rookie starting outside linebacker Jarvis Jones had while facing the New York Jets, which saw him being fooled on misdirections or missing tackles that led to big games. He looked more like a rookie at moments in this past game than he had in the first four.
In the aforementioned article, however...

The Pittsburgh Steelers’ win over the New York Jets last week puts more juice into the first Ravens Week of the 2013 season.
Had the Steelers started 0-5, their only motivation Sunday would have been to stick their biggest rival with a loss that could come back to haunt them when they’re fighting for a playoff spot.
Now, a win over the Ravens would improve the Steelers’ record...
Steelers rookie outside linebacker Jarvis Jones diagnosed with a concussion Wednesday has been listed as questionable for the game Sunday at Heinz Field against the Baltimore Ravens.
Jones did not take any repetitions Friday in team drills. Instead he went through a light exercise regimen one of the necessary steps involved for concussed players to be cleared to play.
Troy Polamalu has been showing flashes of his old self these past few weeks, and it reprises his former role of best defender in the game when he absolute crushes Ravens wide receiver Tandon Doss coming across the middle.
As is always the case with Polamalu, he took a blow while giving one as well. Kudos to Doss for hanging on as well.
A few more hits like that, and this thing...
