Kyle Juszczyk (Photo credit: baltimoreravens.com) The Baltimore Ravens took the field for three straight days, starting on Tuesday, June 11, for mandatory minicamp practices.  These three days mark the first time majority of the rookies would play among the veterans.  It is also the last time the team will play together before training camp begins in July.  The Ravens finished up the third and final day of minicamp indoors at the Under Armour Performance Center in Owings Mills, Maryland. Although the weather was dark while storms rolled through Maryland, the skies were looking bright for the Ravens. Quarterback Joe Flacco is especially optimistic about his offense.  “It’s the best I’ve seen us look in terms of guys knowing what they’re doing and being able to process all of that very quickly,” Flacco said in an interview after the first day of minicamp.  “I’m happy with where we are, and we’ve just got a lot of progress to make.  I think we’ve got the guys that are willing to do it.”  Flacco also added that many of the new receivers have stepped up and taken the initiative to prepare themselves for minicamps on their own time. While Flacco’s positive outlook on the Ravens’ offense is very reassuring to the fans, many are curious to see how the fullback situation is going to work out.  On Tuesday, the Ravens released fullback Vonta Leach, replacing him with rookie Kyle Juszczyk.  Juszczyk was selected in the fourth round of the 2013 NFL Draft from Harvard University.  His fundamental skills have currently earned him the starting fullback position on Ravens’ roster. According to head coach John Harbaugh, he has lived up to all of their expectations.  “He’s exactly where we expected him to be,” Harbaugh stated in an interview after minicamp.  “He’s smart, of course. He has picked it up very quickly, which you would expect. You’ve seen him practice. He has skills. He has ball skills – good football player.”  Flacco also touched on Harbaugh’s thoughts, adding that Juszczyk’s athleticism is what impressed him the most. Everything in Baltimore seems to be running smoothly after the first assessment of the full Ravens’ roster comes to an end.  Progress is the main focus with the Ravens now, especially on offense.  With new installments being made on offense and the receivers stepping up, the Ravens’ optimism could soon prove to be a pleasant reality.
