This isn’t new if you’re reading my blog with any sort of regularity, but New York Giants stud defensive tackle Barry Cofield does not believe the team can afford the type of contract he is expecting. He will listen to offers from the Giants, but is not expecting much. “Yeah, if they make a competitive offer, sure [’d listen],” Cofield told Mike Garafolo of the Newark Star Ledger. “But based on the things I’ve been hearing, I don’t think that’s going to be the case.
