The easiest way to avoid talk of a Madden Curse is by placing a retired player on the cover. Barry Sanders will appear on the cover of Madden 25.
Sanders was revealed as the winner of a fan vote on ESPN‘s Sport Nation on Wednesday. He finished ahead of Vikings running back Adrian Peterson.
This is not the first time Sanders has appeared on the cover of a EA Sports game. He appeared on the cover of NCAA Football 13 along with Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin.
Last year the cover of Madden featured Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson.
