The Chicago Bears relied on a strong defensive effort, limiting the Rams to just two field goals in a resounding 23-6 victory on Sunday. The front four was once again dominant for Chicago sacking Rams QB Sam Bradford six times and allowing the Rams only 160 net yards in the game.

Led by Israel Idonije's 2.5 sacks on the day the front four harassed the third year QB all day while limiting Stephen Jackson to 29 yards on 11 carries.  It didn't seem to matter who was lined up in the Bears' front four defense, they consistently found a way to get to Bradford.  Stephen Paea racked up his first sack on the season, Julius Peppers added half sack to his total and Amobi Okoye came away with his first sack on the season.

Tim Jennings came away with another interception in the game, his fourth on the season and had a deflected pass that led to another INT.  Jennings has had a hand in six interceptions on the season, and this goes to how hard he worked to step up and make game changing plays.

On the flip side the offense struggled to get on track for the second consecutive game.  The Bears' longest play from scrimmage on offense was a 21-yard run, until Brandon Marshall caught a 34-yard pass late in the game.

Jay Cutler finished 17 out of 31 183 yards for zero touchdowns and struggled to stay over a 50-percent completion rate throughout the game.  Cutler's accuracy problems persist, as he continues to miss wide open receivers and can't convert key third down plays.

On the day the Bears finished 4 for 14 for a 28-percent conversion rate on third down.  That type conversion rate is going to have to improve, in order for the Bears to compete for a playoff spot.

The lack of efficiency on offense wasn't solved during a game it likely should have been solved.  The Bears' offense was impotent at best unable to generate any sort of consistency.  The question now is, what will it take for the offense to reach it's full potential?
