During Sunday Night’s game against the Texans, Bears QB Jay Cutler was suffered a concussion and was held out of the second-half. Jason Campbell stepped in and was able to complete 11 of his 19 passes for 94 yards, but unfortunately was not able to get them in the end-zone.
There’s been some questions as to whether or not Cutler will be able to suit up for Week 11′s game against the San Francisco 49ers. If he’s unable to play, Campbell will take over, but Sean Jensen of the Chicago Sun-Times writes that the Bears could re-sign Josh McCown to add some extra depth at the position.
Chicago struggled mightily without Cutler last season. They seemed poised for a playoff run before Cutler broke his thumb. The Bear’s backup quarterbacks went 1-5 without him. Should Campbell start, he’ll definitely have his work cutout for him against a very tough 49ers defense.
