The Bears suffered a terrible defeat to 49ers last night, but they were without QB Jay Cutler who stayed behind after he suffered a concussion back in Week 10. Jason Campbell wasn’t able to get anything going against San Francisco’s defense, but that probably had something to do with the Bears inability to block anyone.
Head coach Lovie Smith expressed some optimism that Cutler would be available for this week’s matchup against the Vikings.
“He was feeling better. He got better as time went along,” said Smith following Monday’s loss, per the Chicago Sun-Times. “We left him at home, didn’t have him fly out. He was feeling a lot better by the end of the week so it’s looking good.“
We should have more details regarding his status in the coming days.
