Jay Cutler was in a make or break season with the Chicago Bears offseason changes to the coaching staff meant he was being evaluated as to whether he could be a franchise quarterback, and for the early part of the season, he was playing like one. Then he suffered an injury in the Bears overtime loss to the Washington Redskins when he was sacked early in the second quarter by Chris Baker, he stayed down for several minutes before limping off the field. Cutler tore his groin and was expected to miss at least four weeks of the season, however the quaterback is hopeful to be back in action sooner in an attempt to inspire the Bears to the playoffs for the first time in three years. Cutler addressed the media for the first time since his injury on Tuesday and said he will miss at least a month and will be evaluated week to week after that.
