Bears Pro Bowl running Matt Forte re-injured the right ankle that sidelined him for a game earlier this season but there is optimism he will play Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks, according to a league source.
The injury in Sunday's 28-10 victory over the Minnesota Vikings wasn't as severe as the initial injury against the Green Bay Packers in Week 2. Forte, though, missed the next game against the St. Louis Rams, which was 10 days later.
Forte may be rested or very limited in practice this week but there is hope that he will play against the Seahawks.
