The Chicago Bears have signed DE Austen Lane, according to his agent Scott Smith of XAM Sports.
Lane, 26, was drafted by the Jaguars in the fifth round of the 2010 NFL Draft out of Murray State. He lasted three years with Jacksonville before he was released last June.
The Kansas City Chiefs claimed him off of waivers and later signed with the Lions this past season before being released after two weeks.
Lane has totaled 66 tackles, three sacks and forced fumble over the course of his NFL career. His best season came in 2012 with the Jaguars when he appeared in 11 games and had 32 tackles, two sacks and a forced fumble.
