TEAMS:
New England Patriots
The New England Patriots have to find a way to stop the deep ball that Joe Flacco used to kill the Denver Broncos last weekend. If Flacco is going to attempt the long pass he may in for a surprise. You can bank in the fact that Belichick will have his defense ready to take those long passes away. The defensive mind of Bill Belichick give the New England Patriots an advantage that not many teams have. Belicick is a master at paying attention to detail and having his team ready for the unexpected. Not many coaches in the history of the NFL have the type of mind that Bill Belichick has. The Ravens and the Patriots are going to be in for a good ole fashion shoot out. I expect this to be high scoring game. Both quarterbacks have the ability to get a lot of points on the board, both teams have the ability to score quickly. I would think the advantage has to go to Belichick, his Patriots scored a ton of points in the regular season and I expect that trend to continue this Sunday. The Rave...

Brendon Ayanbadejo says the Patriots offense is cheap, a gimmick
While watching tonight’s Patriots – Texans game, Baltimore Ravens linebacker Brendon Ayanbadejo went on Twitter and claimed that the Patriots’ offense is cheap and a gimmick. New England does some suspect stuff on offense. Can’t really respect it. Comparable to a cheap shot b4 a fight — Brendon Ayanbadejo (@brendon310) January 13, 2013 Are you watching the game pats vs...
Belichick, Patriots await Gronkowski update
Patriots coach Bill Belichick is providing no update on injured tight end Rob Gronkowski.
Belichick said during a conference call Monday that he had nothing to add to his comments following New England's 41-28 win over the Houston Texans in a divisional playoff game Sunday. He said then he wasn't sure if Gronkowski had broken his arm.

New England Patriots get (mostly) high marks in divisional playoffs win
Tom Brady proved his mettle once again, becoming the NFL’s all-time postseason wins leader (Getty/ Wickerham)
Three times the Patriots have hosted the Houston Texans in Foxboro. Three times the Patriots have won big. Final scores of 40-7 (2006), 42-14 (2012), and 41-28 (2012 playoffs) are impressive, but the latest triumph wasn’t as easy as that last margin suggests thanks...
AP Source: Pats TE Gronkowski has surgery on arm
Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski has undergone surgery on his broken left arm, a person with knowledge of the operation tells The Associated Press.
Gronkowski suffered the season-ending injury Sunday when he caught a pass from Tom Brady in the first quarter and landed out of bounds on the arm for an incompletion in New England's 41-28 playoff win over the Houston Texans.

Brandon Spikes Had a Pretty Awesome Turnover Celebration
The New England Patriots took care of the Houston Texans yesterday with little resistance, winning the game 41-28. Brandon Spikes was quite happy when the Patriots recovered a fumble and decided to let everyone know. His wave style first down signal pretty much made my day. Can't wait for that Ravens vs. Pats game next Sunday. #BradyIsASurgeon

Mentally tough Patriots only look ahead
In his postgame conference yesterday, Patriots quarterback Tom Brady lauded his teams mental toughness. Here's the quote;
"Yeah. I think that’s been the mark of our team. We’ve won 11 of 12. We were down 31-3 at home and battled back. I think we’re going to be in it. We have a lot of tough guys, mentally tough guys. Whatever happens, like what happened on the first...
Brendon Ayanbadejo Will Get Targeted by Patriots Special Teamers After Critical Twitter Comments (Video)
On Sunday night while the Patriots were trampling the Texans at Gillette Stadium, Brendon Ayanbadejo was sitting at home stewing while watching New England’s no huddle offense.
That’s when the Ravens’ special teamer took to Twitter to air his grievances with the Patriots’ hurry-up ways. Unfortunately, he likely did more harm than good for Baltimore by pointing out what he...

Patriots: Stepping Up!
Patriots RB Shane Vereen and TE Aaron Hernandez had a breakout game vs the Texans Sunday in Foxboro. New England rolled 41-28 by leaning on these two key playmakers.
Is Rob Ninkovich the Patriots defensive MVP?
You could say the AFC Divisional round game between the New England Patriots and the Houston Texans came down to one play.
With 4:20 left in the 3rd quarter, the Texans were going on a dangerous looking drive. The score was 24-13 to New England, and a touchdown would have made things very interesting heading into the 4th. Then, up pops Rob Ninkovich.

Divisional Round Risers and Fallers: Shane Vereen Shines as Pats Seal Rematch with Ravens
Welcome to the playoffs, Shane Vereen.
New England's forgotten second-year tailback—who was drafted 17 spots ahead of Stevan Ridley in 2011—stole the show Sunday evening, piling up 124 total yards and three touchdowns in New England's 41-28 thrashing of the Houston Texans in the Divisional Round.

Patriots take care of Texans
It’s weird. Without Rob Gronkowski and Danny Woodhead the Patriots and Tom Brady looked inconsistent passing the ball. Brady forced too many balls to Welker that bounced off his arm and Aaron Hernandez dropped a catch or two. Then I notice that Brady still threw for 344 yards and they scored 41 points.
Matt Schaub, Arian Foster, Daniel Manning and J.J. Watt all had really good...
Gronkowski Update: Tight End has surgery on forearm
On the face of things, this weekend couldn't have gone much better for the New England Patriots. A comfortable victory to get the play-offs started over the Houston Texans, preceded by an upset in the form of the Baltimore Ravens win over the Denver Broncos, meaning another game at Gillette, with everything on the line.
However, there is a big smear on the weekend. When Rob...
Tom Brady Has ‘No Idea’ Why He Does Fashion Shoots, Much Prefers to Be Patriots’ Quarterback
FOXBORO, Mass. — Tom Brady is something of an icon, even beyond the world of sports. The problem with that icon status, however, is that it isn’t always such a good thing.
During his weekly press conference leading up to Sunday’s AFC Championship Game, Brady fielded questions from the media on a variety of topics, including that of his off-field life.
Brady is known for his...
