Found November 24, 2013 on Kissing Suzy Kolber:
Windy conditions in Cleveland kept the Steelers from needlessly trying a long field goal with a 20-3 lead in the fourth quarter. Instead, the Steelers offense lined up as though it would try to convert a 4th and 18. From there, Ben Roethlisberger backed up and pooch punted the ball, which was eventually downed at the Browns’ 1. It’s not the first time Roethlisberger has been called on for punting duty. The first was in the 2008 playoffs against the Chargers. This, however, was the first to pin the opposition right at their goal line. Given how much Mat McBriar sucks, the Steelers might consider full time punting duty for their quarterback.

Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger Solid Once Again Using The No-Huddle

The Pittsburgh Steelers offense ran more no-huddle Sunday in the 27-11 win over the Cleveland Browns and with fairly good results. According to the official play-by-play stats, quarterback Ben Roethlisberger was 9-of-13 for 86 yards and a touchdown using the no-huddle. One of those incompletions was a spike, so in reality he was 9-of-12 passing. The touchdown was the long pass to...

Ben Roethlisberger Can Break A Terry Bradshaw Record Thursday Night

Lost in the Pittsburgh Steelers up and down 2013 season is the fact that quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is quietly putting together a franchise passing record year. With 3,118 passing yards so far on the season, Roethlisberger has totaled the most passing yards by a Steelers player in the team’s first 11 games (dating back to 1960). With five games now left, he needs only 1,211...

Pittsburgh is Big Ben’s city; Ben wants to stay in P.A.

Ben Roethlisberger told reporters that he is ‘extremely happy’ in Pittsburgh, and that there was no validity to the reports of a trade demand. The two-time Super Bowl winner would be a $17.89 million hit on the Steelers’ payroll next season if he does not renegotiate his contract. “You know what? Obviously, I will do […]

Steelers Short Passing Game Was Effective In Win Over Browns

Due to the strong winds Sunday in the win over the Cleveland Browns, the Pittsburgh Steelers offense used a much shorter passing game that allowed quarterback Ben Roethlisberger to get the ball out of his hand quickly. For the game, Roethlisberger's 35 passes resulted in an average throw past the line of scrimmage of 5.74 yards. In addition, only three of his throws traveled...

A Superstar (Not Named Ben) Needs to Go

There’s been lots of talk late of trading superstar, Ben Roethlisberger, but I think there’s another name that should be thrown out there. I’m using the term”superstar”  very loosely in his case. The man I’m talking about is the linebacker that received a 6 year 61.5 million dollar contract in 2011, LaMarr Woodley. SteelDad mentioned on this site prior to the Browns...

Ben Roethlisberger Doubles as Punter Against Browns, Pins Cleveland at One-Yard Line (GIF)

Big Ben showed off his big leg on Sunday afternoon. While the Steelers were cruising along against the lowly Browns, leading 20-3 in the fourth quarter, Ben Roethlisberger decided to give his arm a rest and unleash his surprisingly impressive punting skills. Facing a fourth-and-18 from the Cleveland 29-yard line, Roethlishberger remained on the field to the surprise of many. The...

Roethlisberger leads Steelers past Browns 27-11

Ben Roethlisberger threw two touchdown passes and beat Cleveland again as the Pittsburgh Steelers moved back into the playoff picture with a 27-11 win over the Browns on Sunday. Roethlisberger connected on a 41-yard TD pass to Antonio Brown in the first half, and hit Emmanuel Sanders on a 4-yarder in the third quarter for the Steelers (5-6), who have turned their season around following...

Big Ben leads Steelers past Browns, into playoff picture

Ben Roethlisberger threw two touchdown passes to beat the Cleveland Browns as the Pittsburgh Steelers moved back into the playoff picture with a 27-11 win on Sunday. Coach Mike Tomlin called the win “necessary” for the Steelers, who are tied with the Baltimore Ravens at 5-6 for 2nd place in the AFC North, just below the 7-4 Cincinnati Bengals. “Good team effort,” said Tomlin...

I know that you have all been waiting with baited breath for the weekly ANY/A differential stats now that week 12 is over and below are your updated year to date totals. I can't help myself, I love this stat and the TOX stat too much not to track it. Big Ben With Best Punt of Season in Steelers Win

The Steelers won a big game for the team against the Cleveland Browns by a score of 27-11. The Steelers are now 5-6 as the team continues its resurgance in the hunt for a playoff spot. The game featured plenty of highlights, but the biggest belongs to Ben Roethlisberger, who's punt proved that Big Ben should also probably be the Steelers punter this year, given the trouble...

Don’t Look Now but Here Comes the Pittsburgh Steelers

When the Pittsburgh Steelers (5-6) began the season no one foresaw a four-game losing streak coming. Many NFL observers left the Steelers for dead after the 0-4 start. Thanks to a season-high three-game win streak and parity throughout the AFC, the Steelers are right back into the playoff picture. Ben Roethlisberger threw for 217 yards... Read More... No Time left for Ben as Ravens prepare for Thanksgiving Night showdown with Steelers...

Apologies to the Guess Who, the Canadian rock group who scored big-time in the early '70's with the hit "No Time"... but that song defines exactly the defensive mission of the Baltimore Ravens (5-6) as they host the Pittsburgh Steelers (5-6) in a short-week "must-win' Thanksgiving Day night game. If the Ravens give Ben Roethlisberger "no time...

5 things to know after Steelers beat Browns 27-11

Ben Roethlisberger plays for the Steelers. He owns the Browns. Pittsburgh's quarterback, whose long-term loyalty to the team he led to two Super Bowl titles was recently questioned, threw two touchdown passes and raised his career record to a mind-numbing 16-1 against Cleveland as the Steelers beat the Browns 27-11 to continue their unexpected turnaround after a 0-4 start. ...
