The progress of Bengals S Taylor Mays bears watching as he enters his third NFL season, the way Pro Fooball Weekly hears it. There could be an opportunity for Mays to earn more playing time in 2012 with FS Reggie Nelson a free agent and SS Chris Crocker turning 32 in March. Mays played 10 games for Cincinnati in 2011 after he was acquired from San Francisco.

Cedric Benson Might Move on From the Bengals
As the Cincinnati Bengals season wore on, they got away from giving the ball to running back Cedric Benson the way they did last season.
The Bengals decided to use more of Bernard Scott in the running game, which ended up taking away carries from Benson. They also aired the ball out more due to the success of quarterback Andy Dalton and wide receiver A.J. Green.

Terrell Owens Hoping for Super Bowl Call Up, Before Signing With Indoor Football League
My advice for T.O. is just to sign the IFL deal.
I doubt any of the teams left in the playoffs have any interest in adding T.O. as a Super Bowl ringer.
Per a source with knowledge of the situation, discussion between the Wranglers and Owens continue, and a decision is expected within the next week or so.

The Bengals found a talented quarterback and a receiver who already shows the highest level of athleticism and professionalism. They also locked up offensive coordinator Jay Gruden for three years, which is a very good thing (is he heir apparent to Marvin Lewis...
Dolphins could ask Bengals' Zimmer back for second interview
Cincinnati Bengals defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer had a strong interview with the Miami Dolphins for their vacant head coaching position and could be asked back for a second visit.
Changing of the Guards?
One of the Bengals’ biggest needs heading into the offseason is an upgrade at the guard position. Both of them. Help might arrive in Round 1 of the draft with a pair of highly-touted prospects who could end up in Cincinnati’s stripes. Georgia guard Cordy Glenn is currently ranked No. 12 on Mel Kiper’s Big [...]
