According to ProFootballTalk.com, the Cincinnati Bengals may end up looking for a replacement for offensive tackle Andre Smith in this month’s draft. As one league source explains it, the Bengals are now inclined to see if they can find a cheaper and younger replacement for Smith via the draft.  If the Bengals can, they’ll possibly pull the plug on efforts to re-sign Smith, a first-round pick in 2009. It doesn’t sound like anyone is interested in signing Smith because of his asking price being too high.  He’ll need to lower his price or spend 2013 on the unemployment line.       Need NFL Tickets? var _CI = _CI || {}; (function() { var script = document.createElement('script'); ref = document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0]; _CI.counter = (_CI.counter) ? _CI.counter + 1 : 1; document.write(''); script.type = 'text/javascript'; var _CI = _CI || {}; (function() { var script = document.createElement('script'); ref = document.getElementsByTa...

They also need a more stable situation at center as...

Long-time personnel man (and current NFL.com contributor) Gil Brandt remembers a time when team officials brought rolls of quarters to the draft, so they could call the draft picks with the help of an operator, who would tell them how much each call cost in quarters.   Bengals Thought In Brandt’s...
