Cincinnati Bengals safety Gibril Wilson will have ACL and MCL surgery on his left knee and will most likely miss the entire 2010 season, according to ESPN AFC North blogger James Walker. Wilson was injured during the Bengals 22-9 win over the Philadelphia Eagles on Friday night. Wilson signed a one-year deal with the Bengals in May—two months after his release from the Miami Dolphins. He spent the first four seasons in the NFL with the New York Giants—who drafted him in 2004—and was once considered one of the top safeties in the NFL. After Roy Williams and Chris Crocker dealt with injuries throughout the 2009 season, Cincinnati signed Wilson to add depth to the safety position. The safety position was one of the top priorities for the Bengals during the offseason and now, there’s a good chance Wilson won’t contribute at all in 2010.
