QB: Robert Griffin III, Washington Redskins: Griffin made sure that all Redskins fans had a happy Thanksgiving, absolutely tearing up the Cowboys’ defense. RGIII was hitting on all cylinders, throwing for 311 yards with 4 touchdowns while gaining 29 yards with his feet. With the Giants facing a tough schedule down the stretch, look for Griffin to try to lead the Redskins to a playoff birth. 6x Winner RB: Alfred Morris, Washington Redskins: Morris helped Griffin in the demolishing of the Cowboys defense, rushing for 113 yards and a touchdown. Many have forgotten about the strong play of Morris with the emergence of Tampa Bay’s star rookie Doug Martin. As mentioned before, the Redskins still do have an outside shot of making the playoffs. 3x Winner WR: Justin Blackmon, Jacksonville Jaguars: For the second consecutive week, Blackmon was the best rookie wide receiver in the NFL. Blackmon caught 5 balls for 62 yards and a touchdown, leading Jacksonville to their second win of the year. Blackmon has emerged as a legitimate threat since Chad Henne took the reigns at quarterback. If the Jags can get a good quarterback through the draft or free agency, their offense will be dangerous next year. 3x Winner TE: Dwayne Allen, Indianapolis Colts: At this point, it is safe to say that Allen is the best rookie tight end in football. No others see the field, and Allen is among the Colts’ leaders in receptions and a main reason why Indianapolis is on their way to the playoffs. This week Allen was quiet, but led all rookie TEs with 3 catches (6 targets) and 36 yards including a 24-yard grab against Buffalo. 7x winner Def: Vontaze Burfict, Cincinnati Bengals: Burfict led the Bengals in tackles this weekend with 9 as Cincy now finds itself in prime position to fight for a playoff spot with their arch rival Pittsburgh Steelers. In college preseason many draft analysts projected that Burfict would be a lock for the first round, but after a below average junior season combined with a poor pre-draft workout resulted in the talented linebacker going undrafted. Burfict has proved that he is capable of making an impact, and every general manager should be kicking himself for not taking the vicious hitter from Arizona State. -Langer
