Bill Belichick isn’t shedding any tears over a Colts showdown without Peyton Manning. That’s just how it goes. During a conference call with the media a short time ago, the Patriots coach said he wouldn’t necessarily miss not seeing the Colts quarterback on the opposing sideline come Sunday, just as he didn’t miss Michael Vick last week. That’s life in the NFL. Just look at his injury-ravaged secondary. ”We see that every week,” Belichick said, with regard to injured players. ”We have players that I wish were playing for us. Other teams have players, I’m sure, they wish were playing for them.  That’s football. You play with what you got. Games are scheduled, you show up and play them. We all take on that responsibility at the beginning of the season. You never know who’s going to be there, what time, what week.
