Found September 25, 2012 on NFL Draft Zone:

Shawn Powell the former Florida State Seminole, averaged 44.3 per attempt and punted a career-high 50 times for a career-high 2,214 yards. He pinned his opponents inside the 20, 16 times and forced six fair catches. He became a proficient rugby-style punter, improving his directional accuracy while limiting returning opportunities throughout his career.  Well the Buffalo Bills will be losing out on one of their lone bright spots in the past decade.  Moorman might be most famously known for his hit he took against former NFL star Sean Taylor, but Bills fans will remember the small schoolers amazing leg and free spirit.

It is amazing to think that Moorman was once the star of the Bills, where they featured him on the Bills schedules in their 11 year drought. Powell will have big shoes to fill right away but expect him to do a better job than Moorman in his first appearance.  Moorman was ranked 31st in the league after 3 games with a net punting average of 35.8.  That is not a good net punting average, and I think Powell will fix that for the Bills right away as he looks like Sebastian Janikowski but a punter.  The kid is 6’4 and 250 pounds, he can boom a kick, and looks like he should be able to tackle as well.

My ode to Brian Moorman

I've been to about 20 or so games at McFaddens since I've moved to NYC 10 years ago. Boy, let me tell you how many of those games sucked. I'd be drinking..angerly, while watching Kelly Holcomb or JP Losman guide the Bills to 200 yards in total offense in a thrilling 21-11 loss. However, no matter how bad the game was, you could always set your clock to the bar...
