The Buffalo Bills added three assistants to the staff of new head coach Doug Marrone. Ike Hilliard, a former NFL player, moves over after one season with the Washington Redskins to coach wide receivers, John Anselmo will be a special teams assistant and Hal Luther was named assistant strength and conditioning coach. Hilliard played 12 years in the NFL (eight with the New York Giants and four with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers) and caught 546 passes for 6,397 yards and 35 touchdowns. After retiring, he spent the 2011 season an assistant receivers coach for Miami before joining the Redskins last season. Hilliard will be reunited in Buffalo with former Giants teammate Tyrone Wheatley, who previously was named running backs coach. Anselmo coached for four years on Marrone's staff at Syracuse, the last two as assistant head coach and linebackers coach. Luther also was with Marrone at Syracuse as director of strength and conditioning. The Bills also announced that offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett will be the quarterbacks coach.
