We know this might sound familiar, but Shawne Merriman again is pointing toward a big comeback season. The Buffalo Bills linebacker has been slowed by injuries in recent seasons, but he'll report to training camp this week at "100 percent." He believes the time playing at less than full ability had a positive effect on his game. "I'm a much smarter player and much more technical now," Merriman said, via the Bills' official website. "I know a lot more about the game. When you don't have those physical tools the last three years and being able to blow by a guy or great pass-rush ability, you start to learn more about the game and you get a little bit more technically sound. And that's what happened. Now my body is ready to take that on again along with the knowledge I've picked up over the last few years. It's going to be good." Source: NFL.com

Last week we discussed certain factors that need to fall in place for a successful 2012 Buffalo Bills season. This week we’ll look closer at specific players on this team who are poised for a breakout year. The perception is that playing in Buffalo makes it tough for anyone to stand out and receive national [...]
Buffalo Bills wide receiver Stevie Johnson told ProFootballWeekly.com, that rookie T.J. Graham reminds him of himself.
“He has natural instincts when he catches a hitch or a slant. His abilities are similar to mine,” said Johnson. “He can be a big threat.”
Kevin Fishbain of PFW says that Graham opened some eyes during the Bills’ offseason work outs.
You can add Thurman Thomas to the growing list of former and current Buffalo Bills players who believe this year’s team could be pretty good.
The Hall of Fame running back, who recently spoke at a football camp in Chautauqua County, said the playoffs are a real possibility.
''I'm definitely going to say playoffs,'' Thomas told The Jamestown Post-Journal...
The achilles tendon is the thickest/hardest tendon in the human body. Without it, we wouldn't be able to jump off the ground with the same peak. You mention the tendon to athletes and they squirm just a bit. When media or fans talk about it, it usually means bad news. Careers have never been the same once the 15 centimeters of mass has been ruptured. It is cancer for an athlete...
Training camp is right around the corner, meaning we can finally witness some of these quarterback competitions we've been prattling on about for months. One under-the-radar battle is about to take place in Buffalo, where Vince Young and Tyler Thigpen will fight for the Bills' No. 2 spot behind Ryan Fitzpatrick. "I think it's going to be a good competition,"...
After a peeved Chan Gailey yanked Stevie Johnson out of the Buffalo Bills' 2011 season finale for another excessive-celebration penalty, the wide receiver believed he'd just punched his ticket out of town. "At that point, I was thinking I was done with Buffalo," Johnson told Yahoo! Sports' Michael Silver. "I was like, 'They benched me? Really?'...
At this time tomorrow, I may be coming to the realization that there will be no PSU-in-the-NFLers for the next decade, so let’s pretend all is well in the PSU-NFL world for just a few more hours.
Here’s what happened with your Penn Staters in the NFL this week:

The Buffalo Bills have a solid safety tandem in Jairus Byrd and George Wilson. Last season, the two combined for over 200 tackles, and the veteran/youngster on the rise have given the Bills a nice one-two punch at the position. With a bolstered pass rush due to the signings of Mario Williams and Mark Anderson, the safeties will have a better...
Wide receiver Stevie Johnson told Yahoo! Sports’ Michael Silver that he thought the Buffalo Bills were done with him after he was benched against the New England Patriots up in Foxboro, after his New Years-themed celebration.
“At that point, I was thinking I was done with Buffalo,” said Johnson. “I was like, ‘They benched me? Really?’ I figured I’d go back...
Training camp is just around the corner for the Buffalo Bills and this marks a camp that should provide a whole different look at the upcoming season.
Until this offseason, the past few years have been quite lean for Bills fans. Offseason signings were a bit more prudent and balanced rather than the type that were geared towards making strides in the win column. With so...
