The way former Buffalo Bills coach Chan Gailey deployed C.J. Spiller last year caused indigestion among fans. The new coaching staff wants to transfer that feeling to Spiller. Rookie offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett was a guest on WGR's "The Howard Simon Show" this morning and delivered the most definitive comment to date on Spiller's expected role. "It's real simple" Hackett said. "We're going to give him the ball until he throws up. So he's either got to tap out or throw up on the field. Let's just put it that way." Hackett wasn't afraid that he was revealing top-secret information. "It doesn't matter. You can say that because any team that has ever watched him should I mean ... You've got to stop C.J. "The great thing is now we have some awesome weapons on the outside that if you do want to stop that guy I mean it doesn't necessarily mean that we're going to be looking to not make him a focal point. It's that even though he is a very good player there are some ways that they can stop him. I mean they can put everybody down in the box. They can attack you and do all kinds of stuff. So you're going to have to be able to attack. "I think it's really exciting to see what's going on on the outside there and the happiest guy of them all is C.J. Spiller and Fred Jackson." When Simon first broached the subject by asking if Spiller would be the focal point of the offense Hackett laughed incredulously and wondered why anybody would think otherwise.
