The Buffalo Bills are wasting little time locking up their rookie prospects after signing four more draft selections, including receiver Marquise Goodwin. Doubling as a track star, Goodwin is a speedy yet raw prospect who was drafted in the third round, 78th overall, out of Texas. The Bills also signed fourth-round pick, defensive back Duke Williams; fifth-round pick, defensive back Jonathan Meeks; and sixth-round pick, kicker Dustin Hopkins. The signings were announced Friday morning, hours before the Bills were set to open a three-day rookie camp. Buffalo has now signed five of the eight players it drafted two weeks ago. The Bills have yet to sign their top three selections, including first-round pick, quarterback EJ Manuel.

Marrone cautious in assessing Bills QB Manuel

And the coach certainly didn't have a change of heart after keeping a close eye on the quarterback Friday, when...

Buffalo Bills Select Robert Woods in Second Round

2.09 Buffalo Bills Robert Woods, WR, USC, (6-0,201) It didn’t take the Bills too long to find another receiver to play alongside Stevie Johnson and grow with their rookie QB, EJ Manuel. Admitting the raw rookie needs work on his ‘footwork and mechanics,’ Bills coach Doug Marrone should have E.J. Manuel hold a clipboard this autumn

Noting the raw rookie needs work on his “footwork and mechanics,” Buffalo Bills head coach Doug Marrone seemed to acknowledge E.J. Manuel is nowhere near ready to start as an NFL quarterback. As the 2013 Senior Bowl MVP and a 2012 second team All-ACC selection, Buffalo took the 23-year-old Manuel out of Florida State with the 16th pick in last month’s draft. Although brimming...
