FOXBORO, MA - AUGUST 12: Vince Wilfork 75 of the New England Patriots watches the action from the sidelines during the preseason game against the New Orleans Saints at Gillette Stadium on August 12, 2010 in Foxboro, Massachusetts. (Photo by Jim Rogash/Getty Images)
Boston Mayor Tom Menino has the opportunity to talk trash with a lot of Mayors because of the Success of the New England Patriots. Menino for all his education, randomly butchers their names though.  The man they call “Mumbles,” has referred to Wes Welker as Wes Weckler before. So was there any reason to be surprised that yesterday while Menino was trash talking with the Mayor of Baltimore, he messed up again. Menino was letting Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings Blake know how the Patriots were in good shape with Tom Brady and Stevan Ridley running the show. At that point Menino, who was wearing a Vince Wilfork jersey,  had to continue to look at a paper to sound like he knew his team. Menino glanced down again,  before boasting to Mayor Rawlings about “Wilcock?” A reporter corrected the mayor, but it was over at that point. Menino then went on to tell the opposing mayor how “Gonk” was hurt and wouldn’t play.  The perks of being a Mayor I tell you.
