The New England Patriots dispatched of the Jacksonville Jaguars in Sunday’s AFC Championship Game, 24-20.

The game itself saw Tom Brady lead a double-digit comeback in the final stanza to send the Patriots to their 10th Super Bowl in franchise history. It’s the eighth appearance for Brady himself.

It goes without saying that those in the Boston area were excited about a potential Patriots repeat.

In no way does that excuse this absolutely horrendous mistake a local ABC affiliate in Boston made. Check out for yourself what might be wrong here.

Yes, the photo WCVB-TV in Boston used is Aaron Hernandez.

Not only is this photo from well over five years ago. It includes a former Patriots player who was convicted of murder back in 2015 before committing suicide while in prison last April.

So. There’s two things wrong with this photo. Maybe, find one of someone that wasn’t convicted of murder. Also, how about finding a photo that was from this season? Just some food for thought, social media intern.

The station did delete this photo almost immediately. Even then, we all know that nothing is ever really deleted from the Internet.
