(Eds: APNewsNow. Will be updated. With AP Photos.) By R.B. FALLSTROM AP Sports Writer It's time to unwrap quarterback Sam Bradford's new toys in a game that matters. The St. Louis Rams expect to have a much more dangerous offense given Bradford's familiarity with the system in Year 2 with coordinator Brian Schottenheimer. For the first time in several years, the Rams appear well-stocked at wide receiver, with a rookie who'll line up all over the place, and with speed across the board. That includes the hybrid tight end, plus there's a former No. 1 overall draft pick helping protect another former No. 1. Bradford is ready to dip into the playbook and show how it'll all work in the opener at home against Arizona on Sunday.

Pieces are in place for Bradford -- and the Rams -- to bust out

ST. LOUIS -- As is routine during the regular season, Sam Bradford gathered in the middle of the Rams' locker room Wednesday afternoon and staged his weekly chat with local media. Upward of two dozen of us were gathered for his first such session of the season, an impressive turnout that was duly noted by the fourth-year quarterback. "I hope you're all here in Week...

St. Louis Rams vs. Arizona Cardinals preview

Cortland Finnegan will look to pester Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald (Photo by USA Today Sports/ Mark J. Rebilas) For the past decade the St. Louis Rams have been one of the laughing stocks in the NFL. Every year I walk into the office and yell out “St. Louis Rams to the Super Bowl” and get ridiculed. Deep down I know the odds of that happening are minimal, but as the years have...

The Rams axe JoLonn Dunbar

Last year, JoLonn Dunbar was my savior in fantasy football. This year, he is suspended. The move comes nearly three weeks after Dunbar was suspended without pay for the first four games of the 2013 season for violating the NFL policy on performance-enhancing substances. Dunbar said at the time he “mistakenly took something that prompted […]

Dunbar was suspended by the league for violating their on performance-enhancing drugs on August 14th, and was schedule to return for week 5 when the Rams took on the Jacksonville Jaguars.

QB Sam Bradford in a new comfort zone, ready to breakout as regular season nears: 'I’m ready to go'

St. Louis quarterback Sam Bradford's career has had its ups and downs, but 2013 looks bright for the signal caller and he seems very cool about it. Over the past two years GM Les Snead and coach Jeff Fisher enhanced the talent and put more playmakers in the Ram's offense and Bradford is having a hard time hiding his excitement.

Some ups, some downs -- now it's time for Ogletree to make some plays

ST. LOUIS -- Les Snead said it best. The St. Louis Rams general manager, shortly after he saw his second pick in the 2013 NFL Draft get beat for a touchdownin his first NFL preseason game, issued a warning to linebacker Alec Ogletree. "They're not scared of you," Snead said to a booth of TV broadcasters in Cleveland, but really to Ogletree. "You're not in...

Fantasy Football players you must play if you have them in week 1

I have been saying this all along, if you want to win some football games, you need to take some risks.  Well this week I am going to give you a player at each position who will help you win your week 1 game. Sam Bradford – St. Louis Rams – I have been talking […]

According to the team's website, the St. Louis Rams have signed the following players to the practice squad.

Rams release suspended LB Dunbar

The St. Louis Rams have waived outside linebacker Jo-Lonn Dunbar rather than wait for their second-leading tackler from last season to serve a four-game suspension to open the season. The Rams have four rookies on their two-deep roster at linebacker heading into the opener Sunday at home against Arizona. It has first-rounder Alec Ogletree starting and undrafted Darren Bates, Jonathan...

Fisher has high expectations for his young Rams team

ST. LOUIS -- If the Rams stumble in September, they won't have to look far for an excuse. They can point to their youth, of which they have plenty. The Rams, in fact, are the NFL's youngest team for the second season in a row. They're almost young enough for coach Jeff Fisher to need to collect parents' permission slips. The average age on the 53-man roster is a...

Rams re-sign LB Jo-Lonn Dunbar

The St. Louis Rams re-signed outside linebacker Jo-Lonn Dunbar, who was waived at the beginning of a four-game suspension to start the season. Dunbar was the team's second-leading tackler last year and coach Jeff Fisher had said there might be a chance of re-signing him. St. Louis Rams: 3 keys to Rams beating Arizona Cardinals in season opener

The St. Louis Rams will begin the 2013 campaign at home against a team that many believe is the worst in the NFC West division, the Arizona Cardinals. Although prognosticators believe that Arizona stacks up at the bottom of the NFC West, it is my personal belief that the Cardinals are the best team of all of the worst teams in any division. I hope that makes sense. My point is that...

Burning Questions: Rookies

What are your projections for Tavon Austin? Rizzla: Coach Jeff Fisher admitted to not revealing how they plan to use Tavon during the regular season during preseason action so the opposition would not have film to gameplan on. Expect the Rams to employ Tavon as the moveable chess piece he was drafted to be lining him up in the slot, out wide and in the backfield. 1,500 all purpose...
