Tom Brady has had no problem completing passes and protecting the football over the last five games.   For those of you that said earlier in the season that Tom Brady was showing signs of being done, that he was too old and too fragile to be a quarterback in the NFL anymore, what do you have to say now?  In the past five games during which the Pats have coincidentally put together a winning streak, the future hall-of-famer has thrown 14 touchdowns and no interceptions.  Those are some pretty impressive numbers, especially considering the fact that two games came against the rival Jets who certainly know how to force turnovers.  Yesterday, Brady had complete control in a 49-19 throttling of the J-E-T-S, throwing for 323 yards and three touchdowns to three different receivers while leading a balanced offensive attack that found the end zone five times.  His performance helped improve his season numbers to 3,299 yards, 24 touchdowns, and three interceptions.  That’s right, just three interceptions in 11 games played; pretty impressive, I know.  And the funny thing is, two of those picks came in a game against the Seahawks and the other versus the Cardinals on a fluky one-handed catch off a tipped pass.  Even one of the INTs in Seattle could’ve been prevented, if only Welker had been able to pull in a high pass by Tom.  His play resembles that present throughout his 2010 MVP campaign, with his decision-making and accuracy pinpoint.  While some throws have gotten away from him at times, Brady has generally been on the mark this season: he’s completed 65.1 percent of his passes in 2012.  Yes, the run game has certainly helped win some games while assisting the assertion of offensive balance in others, but it has been the game control of Brady during the Pats’ five-game winning streak (and all season) that has truly led the team. -Ryan Hartley
