Kansas City Chiefs tackle Branden Albert has tried to force the team’s hand and trade him.
However, after Tyson Clabo signed with the Miami Dolphins, Albert’s only suitor, he may have finally come to grips with the notion of being a Chief for another year. Albert did his own damage control sending out a message to Chiefs fans.
Albert issues are from wanting a long-term deal, being franchised, and moving to left tackle from right tackle, but he’ll have to deal with all of the above for at least one more year.
According to Chris Wesseling of NFL.com, Albert and the Chiefs will work on an extension, but nothing is etched in stone.
"It's official," Albert posted Sunday on Instagram. "I'm comin home tell the world I'm comin home #ItWasFun #DestinedforGreatness #ChiefNation #kcchiefs."
