Dallas Cowboys cornerback Brandon Carr checked in with John Machota of The Dallas Morning News Saturday, and said he likes what he's seeing regarding the upcoming defensive changes for the 2013 season.
"What I’ve learned in my five years as a professional athlete is that change is always constant in the NFL,” Carr said. “Typically, you have the most change in the offseason. Typically, after finishing the way we finished, 8-8, middle of the pack, they’re looking for some answers."
New defensive coordinator Monte Kiffin met with several players, including Carr a few weeks ago, and Carr noticed right away the energy and enthusiasm coming from the 73-year old coaching veteran. “He seemed like an old-school ball coach, a no-nonsense guy that makes everyone out there accountable for their actions,” he said.
