With his 101st reception on the season, Brandon Marshall has set the record for a single season's receptions, eclipsing Marty Booker's 100 receptions in the 2001 season. A top-flight wide receiver is something the Bears' franchise has lacked for a long time, and the acquisition of Marshall in the offseason for a third-round draft pick this year and a third-round draft pick next year is looking more and more like a steal. The impact he's made on the Bears' offense has really been something to watch, especially with Jay Cutler's unwavering faith that Marshall will be open.
Also of note in Bears' receiving history is the stat that, per ESPN Stats, Marshall's 7 100-yard games ties him for the most in a season with three others.
The reception came on Marshall's touchdown from Jason Campbell in backup duty to bring the Bears within one touchdown. Source: SBNation.com Attached Thumbnails
