The 0-8 Jacksonville Jaguars are back from their bye week, and they stand a half-decent chance of competing against a so-so division rival in Tennessee Sunday. Just in case they accidentally win, let's review just how bad the Jags have been thus far. Four figures: 1. The Jags have been outscored by 178 points. That, through only eight games, is the 74th-highest point differential in NFL history. They're on pace to allow 356 more points than they score. Only five teams in NFL history have been lower than 256 in that area, and nobody has ever hit the 300 mark.  2. The Jaguars have lost all eight of their games by double-digit margins. No team in NFL history has lost more than 12 games in that fashion. Even the winless 2008 Lions managed to get within 10 points in six of their losses, while the the 0-14 1976 Buccaneers did so on four occasions.  3. The Jags have scored a league-low 86 points, putting them on pace to score 172. Only five teams in NFL history have given up...

Jaguars' Denard Robinson comes to grips with new role backing up MJD

Denard Robinson was the most high-profile player the Jaguars selected in the draft this year. At the University of Michigan, he started 37 games — 35 at quarterback — and was the first player in NCAA history to pass for 2,500 yards and rush for 1,500 in a single season. Despite all his athletic skills, NFL teams weren’t sure whether he fit into an NFL offense. He fell to the...

Jacksonville Jaguars’ Injury Report: Jones-Drew, Shorts Probable

The Jacksonville Jaguars are still searching for their first win of the 2013 season, and now take on the 4-4 Tennessee Titans this Sunday at LP Field in Nashville, Tennessee. It doesn’t take the wisest of men to tell you that this has been a season to forget for the lowly Jaguars. The Jags have one of the worst point differentials in NFL history, yielding over 33 points per game...

The Jaguars Denard Robinson has been named as the No. 2 running back behind Maurice Jones-Drew.Fantasy Spin:It remains to be seen if this will help Robinson's fantasy value as the Jaguars are usually behind on the scoreboard and passing more than running the ball.

The Continuing Adventures of The Flow

[via]VOICEOVER (spoken over sirens and gunshots): Night in Jacksonville. People think this town is like the rest of Florida, full of racists, alligators, and retirees on rascal scooters. They’re wrong. Jacksonville is different. By day, the River City shines like a diamond, so bright that the people in this town go blind to the injustice around them. As the thick blanket of night...

Jaguars News and Notes: Preparing for the Titans

If the game between Jacksonville and Tennessee were written as a crime drama, the NYPD may put out an APB (all-points bulletin) for the Jaguars' missing defense. It appears 11 players have suited up each week, but the play of Paul Posluszny and Sen’Derrick Marks may get some attention. So after this season, three interceptions have been recorded and the team as a whole has a...
