Chicago Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher is very optimistic heading into the upcoming season. He believes they should be able to run away with the division, as long as they’re healthy.
“It’s perfect, and just the way we like it,” Urlacher said of the disrespect. “If you look at what we did last year before Jay (Cutler) got hurt, we won five in a row. When Jay went down, you saw what happened after that. When we’re healthy, I don’t see a better team in the NFC North.
“Last year, Green Bay and Detroit were in the playoffs, so they should be talking about them. I don’t know if they got any better in the offseason, but I know we got better.”
I really like the Bears going into this year and I believe they have shot at winning the division. The Packers are still the favorites right now, but the Bears can easily sneak up and make a run.

Brian Urlacher is one of the most intimidating guys in the NFL — He looks like a killer linebacker, and you would think he doesn’t worry much how he looks — Not the case…The Bears pro-bowler was spotted getting his products on at Sally Beauty Supply, which just so happens to be the largest retailer of professional beauty supplies in the world...
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Chicago Bears and running back Matt Forte should get a new deal done by July 16th.
If a contract is agreed upon by July 16th, I think it would be because of Forte caving in to the Bears’ demands to some degree. He doesn’t have much leverage after stating that he’ll play this season.
If a new contract isn’t agreed upon...
Adam Schefter of ESPN believes running back Matt Forte will sign a contract extension with the Chicago Bears before July 16.
July 16 is significant because that is the deadline players that were designated with the franchise tag (like Forte) have to sign an extension. And if Forte does get the long-term deal that he covets, then that eliminates the risk of him being a holdout.
After a spectacular collapse after starting 7-3 in 2011, the Chicago Bears are poised to showcase one of the more talented teams the franchise has seen in a long time. With Briggs, Urlacher, Peppers, and Tillman all expected to be healthy and ready to go, Chicago fans are hoping for the dominant, in your face defense that the Bears have executed so well in the past. To add to...
Last week we kicked off the More You Know series with some basic Bear-related facts and information, and had some quality additions to our list of factoids in the comments section. For the second part of this series, we go back (to the future! No wait, that's wrong) to the early twentieth century to look at how the Bears came into being, the key individuals that helped...

At a recent charity event at a local Chicago high school, Bears running back Matt Forte admitted that he’ll play this season, despite the fact that he doesn’t have the long-term deal he’s looking for.

The Bears will feature a number of competitions in training camp this year, including the starting strong-side linebacker battle between incumbent Nick Roach and newcomer Geno Hayes.
Despite his team finishing 2011 ranked 28th versus the pass, Chicago Bears coach Lovie Smith isn't worried about his secondary this year. We also discuss Chris Conte, Patrick Mannelly and more.
Bear Report is breaking down the positional battles upcoming during Bears training camp. We continue with the fight for the last WR spot between Devin Thomas and Dane Sanzenbacher.
Would it surprise you if I said that Chicago Bears linebacker, Brian Urlacher, was dating a Real Doll? You know, one of those Japanese dolls that are built life size, with real soft skin, gentle hair, and "workable" parts? Because that is pretty much what this thing, Jenny McCarthy, looks like that recently graced the cover of the magazine for true gentlemen recently, Playboy...
With less than a month now before the Chicago Bears travel to Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbonnais, Illinois to begin their 2012 season, we ponder ten questions, give or take a few, to ask and, hopefully, answer by September’s regular season kickoff: 1. What effect, if any, will a possible Matt Forte holdout have on the team? Do the Bears [...]
This past week, Matt Forte inadverntenly revealed the standard for the long term contract he's seeking. The slip up revealed precisely what Forte feels his value is to the Bears and what his value on the open market is.
