NFL Trade Rumors:
According to ESPN’s 1500 Twin Cities, there’s at least a chance that the Vikings could consider signing an inside linebacker such as Brian Urlacher in coming weeks.
Minnesota was reported to have touched base with Urlacher and his representation early on in free agency, but there’s been almost no movement regarding the future Hall of Famer.
Many expected the Vikings to target a linebacker at some point early on in the draft. If you had told me that they were going to walk away with three first-round picks, I would have easily put money on them taking Manti Te’o in round one, but that obviously wasn’t the case. Instead, the Vikings waited until the fourth and seventh-rounds of the draft to grab grabbed Penn State LBs Gerald Hodges and Michael Mauti.
Jasper Brinkley is now on the Cardinals and, as of now, the Vikings starting linebackers would be Audie Cole, Erin Henderson, and Chad Greenway.
Urlacher, 34, could be had for limited money and no more than a two-year deal. He fits their ...

The NFL Draft has come and gone, and it's still not clear how the Minnesota Vikings will fill the void at middle linebacker created when Jasper Brinkley signed with the Arizona Cardinals. The team has a few in-house options, but Judd Zulgad and Tom Pelissero of 1500 ESPN report the Vikings could look to one of the veteran free agents -- including former Chicago Bears linebacker...
Though the Minnesota Vikings drafted a pair of linebackers on day three of the NFL Draft, former Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher still could figure into the team’s plans.
EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. Hoping to rekindle past flames, the Minnesota Vikings added Carter to their wide receiver corps on Sunday.
Not Cris, the newly-elected Hall of Famer, who still owns Minnesotas career receiving records. Rather, the Vikings have added Duron Carter, Cris son, as an undrafted free agent, according to a report from the Minneapolis Star Tribune.
EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. Sharrif Floyd, Xavier Rhodes and Cordarrelle Patterson finally made their way to Minnesota on Friday morning, finishing a whirlwind NFL draft tour started at Radio City Music Hall in New York City the night before.

Tom Pelissero of ESPN 1500 Twin Cities doesn’t expect Vikings P Chris Kluwe to be on the team for much long.
The Vikings opted to use their fifth-round pick on UCLA punter Jeff Locke which has left Kluwe’s future status with the team in some doubt. Kluwe mentioned that he’s open to competing for the starting job with Locke, but Pelissero believes there’s at least a...
Punter Chris Kluwe might be out of a job with the Minnesota Vikings. Only, according to him, it may not be for the reasons you’d think.
Kluwe has been noted throughout his career for his social activism. Over the years, gay rights has been his pet topic, appearing on The Colbert Report and joining with former Ravens linebacker Brendon Ayanbadejo to file a brief with the Supreme...

The Vikings went big to jump back into the first round and grab their guy Cordarrelle Patterson, who is a freak athlete with raw abilities. They needed a Harvin replacement and they got a bigger version that will need to be coached up before he will make an impact. The Vikings also landed Greg Jennings this off season, so Patterson will have a veteran...
Trying to find a gem in the scores of college football players that go undrafted, the Chicago Bears announced the signing of ten undrafted free agents. Perhaps the biggest name is former Rutgers WR Mark Harrison, who had the dubious distinction of being implicated in the hotel room trashing at February’s scouting combine along with former Clemson star DeAndre Hopkins. Chicago Bears fifth-round offensive linemen Jordan Mills has two cousins currently playing in the NFL, from whom Mills learned much about the game of football.
EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. The instant reaction of the Minnesota Vikings' draft started immediately after Minnesota went bold and picked three players in the first round, with analysts lauding the moves made by Vikings general manager Rick Spielman.
All three players were considered first-round talents and Florida defensive tackle Sharrif Floyd and Tennessee wide receiver Cordarrelle...
