Peyton Manning threw for three touchdowns and Von Miller had three sacks, as the Denver Broncos defeated the San Diego Chargers 30-23 on Sunday to take a three-game lead in the AFC West. Manning threw for 270 yards and Miller finished the day with 13 sacks on the season — most in the NFL. The Broncos quarterback got off to a slow start, throwing an interception that Eric Weddle returned for a score and an early 7-0 lead. But the Broncos (7-3) took a 10-7 lead early in the second quarter and never trailed again. Manning won his 148th regular-season game as a starting quarterback, tying John Elway for second on the all-time list. Source: Associated Press Attached Thumbnails

Von Miller helps Broncos sack Chargers, 30-23

Peyton Manning isn't the only player the Denver Broncos brought in to make things happen. Von Miller got the call from Denver, too, and the second-year linebacker is becoming as big of a headache for Broncos opponents as Manning is. On a day Manning threw three more touchdown passes, Miller added three sacks and two forced fumbles to his tally to make it a miserable afternoon...

Fun with numbers: After big night can Aldon Smith make a run at single season sack record?

Last night we all spent our time focusing on San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick’s performance in his first career start and the implications that it had for Alex Smith (myself included) without considering the impact of Aldon Smith’s equally impressive night. Smith went on a tear against the Bears offensive line recording 5.5 sacks; and this performance begs the...

For Denver, they wanted to extend their winning streak to five and take complete control in...
