On his first NFL play he recorded a sack.
In his first NFL start Sunday he registered his third sack in as many games displayed his blazing speed off the edge and tackled rookie Giovani Bernard 14 yards behind the line of scrimmage where the Bengals running back had recovered a botched snap.
The Bengals never recovered from the mistake and were forced to punt en route to a 17-6 loss.
Mingo who started in place of Jabaal Sheard (knee) also made four tackles and blew up several other plays for which he didn't get credit on the stat sheet.
"I just wanted to come out and do what I could do to help the team win'' he said. "We came out and we stoned them and we've just got to keep it going forward.
"It's fun out there. I enjoy being out there with my teammates. You hate looking in from the sidelines.''
