TEAMS: Cleveland Browns, Washington Redskins, New England Patriots, Alabama Crimson Tide
As rumors swirl about a potential replacement under new owner Jimmy Haslam, Browns coach Pat Shurmur is focusing on the Washington Redskins and not saving his job, Jeff Schudel of the News Herald reports. Recent rumors have Alabama coach Nick Saban and New England Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels as potential Browns coaches.
Im not going to focus on that, Shurmur said Monday. Our energy, our efforts are all going to be directed to the Redskins. Its a little bit easier to be narrow-minded and short-sighted with three games to play. We have to make sure we stay in the moment. The math changes in those situations if you dont take care of business this weekend.
Im not worried about saving my (job), Im worried about doing my job and thats it, Shurmur said. Just want to do my job. Source: The Redzone Attached Thumbnails

Rookies playing a huge role in Browns' streak
BEREA A big reason the Browns won their third game win in a row was due to the contributions of rookies. Pat Shurmur was asked if it was the confidence theyve gained or the opportunity to show their skill set.
Its probably a combination of both, Shurmur said. When they have the confidence and opportunity and when those two meet they have the chance (to make plays).
There was probably...
Browns Brandon Weeden, Throw him at the mercy of last year’s awful offensive line and he wouldn’t have lasted the season
One thing you have to notice this season is how much better the Browns offensive line is performing. As the headline of this article states, if Brandon Weeden would have played for the Cleveland Browns in the 2011 season with the line Cleveland had, it is doubtful he would have been able to complete the season. Some of the reasons as to why, include Weeden holding onto the...

WFNY Podcast – 2012-12-11 – Craig and Jacob talk Browns, Tribe and the Elf on the Shelf
It’s like a WFNY episode of “The Real World.” “What happens when people stop being polite and start getting real?
