Browns quarterback Brandon Weeden, who has a sprained right shoulder, and running back Trent Richardson, who suffered a left ankle injury during Sunday's loss to Denver, have not been ruled out for Sunday's season finale in Pittsburgh, coach Pat Shurmur said today.
He confirmed that Richardson's ankle is not broken, but that "we haven't finished up the evaluation.''
Weeden suffered the injury on sack by Von Miller, who stormed in unblocked on Weeden's right side after a blown protection.
Shurmur said of the 9-yard sack, "It's a hot throw. You have to get rid of the ball.''
He also said Weeden "was playing a pretty efficient game before the injury. And that he was "much better'' than in the loss to the Redskins.
