TEAMS:
Cleveland Browns
One day you're hot, the next you're not. The Cleveland Browns have shifted their focus and are moving on from onetime favorite, Oregon’s Chip Kelly. Kelly, after his first meeting with the Browns, made his next stop with the Philadelphia Eagles, who are also interested and rumored to have had a marathon 9 hour meeting. Reports on Saturday had Kelly pretty much a done deal in Cleveland, but Kelly left without an agreement.

Can we find writers who can spell?

Browns should go after JIM TRESSEL!!!!!!
-
No! Not Jim Tressel. The NFL requires long sleeve sweaters!
-
The Browns look like losers right now, but in the long run they will be better off without Kelly. His offense will be as successful as the wild-cat. He'd go through 4 QBs a year running his offense.

Go with a real winner like COACH JIM TRESSEL

same old story/new owner/no one wants to come to cleveland and it cannot be the fans. better beg, pleed, sell the house, get nick saban. but that wisenhent guy will probably win the job by default.forget tressel his style isnt for the pros,oh wait a minute run the tailback on the first two downs and throw on third and long, wait a minute thats what we just did. should have keep coach m and gave him fair chance.

Again, amid all of the coaching rumors, the Browns have been abuzz on Twitter for other topics too in the last 48 hours. This one was big last night, as ESPN Cleveland reporter Will Burge shared some insight on Colt McCoy’s potential future with the organization:

Cleveland Browns 2013 Needs
The Browns have played in just 1 playoff game since 1994 (they were deactivated for 3 years in that stretch, but still). Lack of continuity continues to be an issue for them and it won’t get any better for them next season. They have a new owner who has brought in a new GM and front office, which will bring in a new Head Coach once again. That Head Coach is expected to be Chip...
Colt McCoy Has Been Told He’s in Chip Kelly’s Plans if He is Hired
Chip Kelly hasn’t been hired by anyone yet, so this might not mean anything. Even before this report came out, I believed if Chip Kelly was hired by the Browns and he had to choose between McCoy and Weeden, he would choose McCoy.
I think McCoy fits better within the scheme he would try to use. It would be different if Weeden was substantially better than McCoy, but I don’t think...

Chip off the Block: A hell of a start for Haslam and Banner in Cleveland and a hell of a weekend for “league sources”
One nice thing about how Randy Lerner never really cared about being the Browns owner was that Lerner never made a show of camping out for a week in the desert to to make his “top choice” to fill a head coaching vacancy an “an offer he couldn’t refuse,” then letting it be reported by every major outlet under the sun that he had “a done deal” with this top choice, and...
NFL Rumors: Jon Gruden to the Cleveland Browns, again?
Jon Gruden has been linked to virtually every coaching vacancy in the college and professional ranks in the last few years after he joined the broadcast booth. This year, reports have suggested that Gruden may indeed be willing to re-join the sidelines as his time away from the game might make his coach relevancy less important. Gruden has a premiere job, siting alongside Mike Tirico...
