TEAMS:
Arizona Cardinals
Bruce Arians always wondered why he couldn’t get a head coaching gig, and he left Pittsburgh after getting the bums rush from Steelers management.
However, he nailed it when he took over for Chuck Pagano and led the Indianapolis Colts to the playoffs. His stock soared, the NFL looked at him differently, and now he’s the guy in charge.
Arians has turned Ben Roethlisberger into a two time champion, and Andrew Luck into a possible rookie of the year, but he’s in no rush to fix his newest project, Kevin Kolb.
“We haven’t even started yet. I’m looking forward to meeting with Kevin and we’ll cross that bridge as soon as we have to,” Arians said. “I’ve seen enough film to know that he is good enough, but we have to protect him a lot better.
When he is healthy, he has had some good moments. He has had some not-so-good moments. We have to protect him better, run the ball better,” via Mike Sando of ESPN.com.
