Found August 21, 2012 on Philly Sports Nut:

Many people do not know who Bryce Brown is and his purpose on the Philadelphia Eagles. Well let me tell who he is and how he can possibly help the Eagles not only this year but for many years to come.

Brown was the Eagles, seventh round draft pick in this past year’s NFL Draft. Bryce is a 6’0, 223 lbs. running back out of Kansas State University. Coming out of high school, Brown was a highly touted recruit and many colleges wanted him on their teams, but he began his college football career at the University of Tennessee.

In his freshman year at the University of Tennessee, Brown rushed for 460 yards. Then in 2010 as a sophomore, Bryce wanted to play with his older brother Arthur at Kansas State University. Due to NCAA rules he had to sit out of a season.

Finally, in his first game as a Wildcat in 2011, Bryce Brown suffered a very horrible ankle injury versus Eastern Kentucky. Bryce would eventually leave the Wildcat program. Now present day, he is a running back in the Philadelphia Eagles backfield competing for the second and third running back positions with Dion Lewis and fellow undrafted rookie running back Chris Polk.

Through the first two games of the preseason, Brown has been very impressive. Last night versus the New England Patriots, Brown was the team’s leading rusher. He had nine carries for 51 rushing yards and his longest run was for 27 yards. Brown was also a factor in the receiving game as he had two catches for 16 receiving yards.

If Brown keeps up the good job in the next two preseason games then he will most likely make this Philadelphia Eagles team. Brown will have his chance to show that he deserves to be on this roster this Friday as the Eagles take on the Cleveland Browns. Most likely, the starters will not play which means there will be no LeSean McCoy in the backfield. The time is now for Brown to show the Eagles that he can play with the big boys as he will most likely get a ton of time throughout the game.

In the future, I see Brown as the Eagles number two running back, it might sound farfetched because Dion Lewis is the number two running back as of right now. But Lewis has not impressed at all to be given that spot. Bryce Brown could be the exact and complete compliment back to LeSean McCoy for years to come.

Is Nick Foles the Future for Eagles? History Suggests Otherwise

Elise Amedola / The Associated Press If I didn’t know any better, I’d swear that Philadelphia Eagles QB Nick Foles was already a five-time pro-bowler and Super Bowl MVP. Fortunately, I know that he’s just a rookie who has attempted a mere 38 passes in two preseason games during his 15 day career as an Eagle. But wow, what a 38 pass attempts it has been! He has completed 24...

2012 Fantasy Football Preview: Eagles WR Jeremy Maclin

The Philadelphia Eagles’ Monday night game against the New England Patriots may have not meant much in terms of scoring, stats, etc. But for fantasy football owners, it was the first time we saw Jeremy Maclin suit up this preseason. After dealing with a hamstring injury, Maclin sat out of last week’s game against the Steelers as a precautionary measure. Maclin’s debut Monday...

Andy Reid, Eagles DE Cullen Jenkins Have Words On The Sideline

Eagles coach Andy Reid uncharacteristically got into a verbal back and forth with one of his players when he jawed with Cullen Jenkins on the sideline during the second quarter of tonight's preseason game against the Patriots, Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer. The argument was caught by ESPN cameras. Reid said something to Jenkins and the defensive tackle appeared to...

21 NSFW Black Guys On Twitter Breaking Down Mike Vick’s Rib Injury

What did homeboys have to say about the Michael Vick rib injury? Plenty. Nothing gets a black dude in the ‘hood blasting NSFW tweets like a homeboy going down to a preseason shot. Philadelphia Eagles: 5 Impact Players vs. Patriots

Monday night was the second preseason game for Philadelphia and it was by all means their most important. NFC East Preview

Remember when the Philadelphia Eagles were referred to as the “Dream Team”? It ended up being more like the “in your dreams, team”. They had an awful start to last season (1-4 through five games), and were unable to recover from it, even after gelling a bit more and winning their final four games. Some analysts felt the lockout affected the Eagles more than other teams, since...
