Found August 21, 2013 on Fox Sports:
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have signed veteran kicker Rian Lindell and waived linebacker Joe Holland. Lindell spent the past 10 seasons with the Buffalo Bills, where he ranked second in franchise history with 225 field goals made and 980 points scored. The Bucs signed the veteran of 13 seasons because pre-training camp acquisition Lawrence Tynes has a toe injury that has prevented him from kicking this preseason. With Tynes out, Derek Dimke has handled the kicking duties in practice and is five for five on field goal attempts through two exhibition games. Lindell has also played for the Seattle Seahawks. He's made 81 percent of his field goal attempts and 401 of 402 extra points during his NFL career.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers sign K Rian Lindell

Heading into the 2013 preseason, place kicker was not a position of need for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Tampa had Conner Barth on the roster, a kicker who converted 28 of 33 field goals last season, going six of nine from 50 yards or more. Barth was perfect on extra point attempts as well, miking 39 of 39. The position became an area of serious concern when Barth ruptured his Achilles...

Fran Tarkenton: Josh Freeman is “god-awful”

Pro Football Hall of Fame quarterback Fran Tarkenton was very criticial of Buccaneers quarterback Josh Freeman during an appearance on 620 WDAE. “They’ve had him there for four years and they have question marks about you?’’ Tarkenton said, via ESPN.com. “You didn’t have question marks about Matt Ryan after his fourth year or Joe Flacco. That means they don’t think...

Tarkenton was on WDAE radio, and according to ESPN.com, said that “Freeman plays god awful at times.” “He plays sometimes at a nice level,” Tarkenton said. “I’ve watched him a lot. Former Bills K Rian Lindell Posts Final Goodbye and Thank You to Bills Fans

This past week, the Buffalo Bills released their most tenured player, kicker Rian Lindell. Lindell owns numerous bills records and just came up short in being the all time points-leader for the team. When you play for the same team for 10 years, saying goodbye can be a bitter pill to swallow. Always classy, though, Rian Lindell said his final goodbye to a fanbase that loved him and...

Bucs face Dolphins new Uniforms

This Saturday, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will face Miami for the first time in their new uniforms.....a throwback to the teal of the 70s, with an all new logo that is less "Flipper" like. The Dolphin is more of an in motion mammal as opposed to the older uniforms which had a dolphin logo that was more in the motion of jumping. Over time, the Dolphins Teal got darker...

As the 2013 NFL regular season is getting ready to start in a few weeks, everyone has an opinion as to what is going to happen this season. Former New York Jets QB Joe Namath always chimes in as to what he thinks is right or wrong with his former team. This afternoon, Minnesota Vikings QB Fran Tarkenton decided he needed to weigh in on the quarterback of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers...

Two-time Pro Bowl guard Carl Nicks has suffered a setback in his recovery after developing a blister on his left foot that became infected. Bucs Add Former Bills Kicker Rian Lindell

While Tampa Bay placekicker Derek Dimke has performed well as Connor Barth’s replacement since Barth was lost for the season with an Achilles injury the Bucs may not be comfortable heading into 2013 with a first-year kicker lined up to hit a potential game-winning last-second field goal this season. PewterReport.com can confirm an earlier report from FOXSports 1's Alex Marvez...

Bubble Watch Updated

Last week I thought that three players were on the bubble who the Bills might regret cutting. Of course that was before Buffalo released long time kicker Rian Lindell (which I predicted), and LB Nigel Bradham was cited for marijuana possession. Continued drug busts and off the field issues can get even the best of players assigned to bubble watch but, since this is a first offense...
