With the decision not to tag defensive end Michael Bennett, the Bucs seem to be content with losing him in free agency. To improve their pass rush, they will need more than Da’Quan Bowers and Adrian Clayborn to get after the quarterback. 1. Dwight Freeney, 33, Colts The move to a 3-4 defense in Indianapolis and an ankle injury did not help Freeney in 2012. But even with his struggles, he recorded five sacks which matches Gerald McCoy for second highest on the Bucs last season. 2. John Abraham, 34, Falcons Atlanta’s release of Abraham was a bit of a surprise. The 12-year veteran still had 10 sacks in 2012 and six forced fumbles. Abraham leads the league in sacks among active players with 122. 3. Wallace Gilberry, 28, Bengals Gilberry was not a starter in Cincinnati and still managed to record 6.5 sacks in 2012.
