Bucs will have another player of the team going to the Pro Bowl in Hawaii. Wide receiver Vincent Jackson is making his third trip to NFL’s All-Star game after originally being selected as an alternate. Here is the official media release from the Bucs: The National Football League announced today that Tampa Bay WR Vincent Jackson has been added to the NFC Pro Bowl roster, replacing Detroit Lions WR Calvin Johnson. Jackson, an eighth-year player, was signed by the Buccaneers as an unrestricted free agent during the 2012 offseason. He started all 16 games this season and was one of the premier wide receivers in the NFL this season. Jackson finished the season with 72 catches for 1,384 receiving yards, both career-highs, along with eight receiving touchdowns. His 1,384 receiving yards were the fifth-most in the NFL this season, and his 19.2 yards per catch were the highest mark in the league. Jackson also recorded 216 receiving yards in Week 7 against New Orleans, a career-best, as well as the most in a single game in Buccaneers history. He is one of only seven wide receivers this season to eclipse 200 yards in a single game. His selection marks the fourth time in franchise history that Tampa Bay as sent a wide receiver to the Pro Bowl. It is Jackson’s third career Pro Bowl selection. If the 49ers beat the Falcons on Sunday, then rookie running back will be going along with Jackson to join Gerald McCoy at the Pro Bowl. Martin would get in because 49ers running back Frank Gore will automatically not be sent to the Pro Bowl due to his team making it to the Super Bowl.
