Exactly two weeks ago, the Arizona Cardinals locked up Calais Campbell with a five-year, $55 million contract, which included a $15 million signing bonus and $31 million in guarantees.

So what does the 6-foot-8, 300 pound defensive end do to celebrate his new-found wealth? Why, eat of course. And rather heartily at that, with his fellow lineman joining him for a mighty (and rather expensive) feast.

Taking to Twitter Wednesday, Campbell, like any worthwhile athlete these days, shared his plans for the evening; most notably, dinner with Dan Williams (pictured) and the rest of his D-line brethren.

As you could imagine, it was a pricy occasion. Campbell noted that he spent “well over” $2000 for the grub, including tip.

I could see why …

Assuming Campbell is a generous tipper — I’m talking 20% here — the total rounds out to $2328, give or take a few pennies. It’s but a drop in the bucket to somebody worth $55 mill, though a nice team bonding exercise nonetheless … and a dream come true to whomever waited on the table.
