Panthers Locker:
22-year old QB Cam Newton proved all of his naysayers wrong in his rookie year for the Panthers. True, they were only 6-10 (37.5%) on the season….but it wasn’t Cam Newton and the offense’s fault. Newton played in 16 games (all starts) for the Panthers in 2011 and he completed 310 of 517 passes (60%) for 4,051 yards with 21 TD passes and 17 INTs (84.5 QB Rating). He also carried the ball 126 times for 706 yards (5.6 ypc) with 14 TD run and he caught 1 pass for 27 yards. Newton set all-time records in passing yards for a rookie (4,051) and TD runs by a QB (14). The sky is the limit for Newton and they will start making it back to the playoffs when the defense starts to improve.

Smith Taking His Fellow Receivers To Hawaii
At the start of the NFL season there were stories about Carolina Panthers receiver Steve Smith wanting a trade out of town. Possible Free Agent Acquisitions pt. 1
I’m going to start a series here on Cat Crave on possible free agent acquisitions for the Panthers. After coming off of a 6-10 season, and having the lead in 14 of their 16 games, people in the organization are very optimistic about the future and believe that this team is a couple guys away from being something special. That is why free agency is so important for Carolina this...
Wild-Card Weekend Picks
The Panthers’ season may be over but the NFL season is not. Wild-card weekend is upon us after an entertaining regular season is in the books. For some fans whose teams didn’t make the playoffs the season is over. For myself, I love watching playoff football. The intensity is something that can’t be replicated in a regular season game; it’s win or go home...
Wild Card Pick ‘Em
Brandon and Eric both mentioned it: “the Panthers’ season may be over, but the NFL season is still going on.” So, like both of those men I’m going to do a pick’em.
Luckily I still have a dog in the hunt. Being from Houston, I do hold a teenie tiny place in my heart for the Texans, and will be cheering for them today. That being said, Eric and Brandon...
Carolina Panthers counting on return of injured starters
Fans hoping for the Carolina Panthers to make a big splash in free agency might want to forget about those Mario Williams and Cortland Finnegan fantasies.
