PLAYERS: Drew Brees
TEAMS: New Orleans Saints
The Saints are shockingly bad this season.  I did not expect them to be affected this much by the loss of their head coach.  Drew Brees has decided he has to share his opinion on all the big issues in the NFL after being out front during the lock-out and now with the bounty scandal.  He's actually becoming obnoxious.  He needs to spend more time preparing and less time complaining. Here's a look at their remaining schedule, predictions and the rest of their division. @ Denver - Peyton is rolling now in Denver, Broncos win. Philadelphia - The Eagles are up and down but they will be able to score on the Saints and play enough defense to win. Atlanta - The Falcons are playing great football and take advantage of a down Saints team. @ Oakland - The Raiders are perennial cellar dwellers and even the Saints can beat them. San Francisco - The 49ers have the best defense in the league, this will be a great match-up.  The 49ers average offense is better than t...

QB Brees says Saints' offense starting to click

(Eds: Updates. With AP Photos.) By GUERRY SMITH Associated Press Drew Brees believes the Saints' offense is close to where it needs to be. Even without injured Pro Bowl tight end Jimmy Graham, the Saints had five touchdowns in a six-possession span at Tampa Bay in a 35-28 win. New Orleans Saints at Denver Broncos: Week 8 NFL Pick

New Orleans Saints (2-4) at Denver Broncos (3-3) Drew Brees looks like Drew Brees again. He struggled, by his standards, in his first few games out of the gate, but you had to figure that eventually he’d get it together, even without Sean Payton, because he’s just too talented. In his last 3 games, he’s [...]

Philadelphia Eagles all out of answers as Atlanta Falcons extend record to 7-0

Like the weather conditions outside in the Philadelphia region, that game was a mess. The Falcons will not be handed their first defeat of the season by the  Eagles as Philadelphia fell to Atlanta at the Linc 30-17. A disgusted home crowd did not wait around to watch the full extent of the damage, with the stadium less than halfway full for much of the second half of the game. Todd...

Tracy Porter’s seizure aftermath may keep him out of dream game

Denver Broncos’ cornerback Tracy Porter has a thread in history with both Peyton Manning and Drew Brees. When he was a member of the New Orleans Saints, his interception of Peyton Manning in the 2010 Super Bowl put the final nail in the Indianapolis Colts’ championship bid. Manning along with Porter are now teammates fighting together and their team is poised to take on Brees...

The task won't be as difficult this week against a Vikings' offense that didn't do much in a so-so win over the short-handed Cardinals. The crowd in Minny...

New Orleans Saints: Week 8 NFL Power Rankings (#19)

Last week: 19 (+7) Record: 2-4 The Saints are no longer the favorite to be this year’s team that goes from out of the playoffs to 5 wins or fewer, but they’re still not a playoff team or anything like that. Only one team has ever made the playoffs after starting 0-4. Drew Brees has [...]

Quarterbacks: Winner and Losers From Week 7

The quarterback position is one of the most important positions on the field, because usually the quarterback is seen as the team’s leader. Additionally, the successes and failures of the team usually fall on the shoulders of the head coach first, and then on the shoulders of the quarterback second. In this article I will examine the best and worst quarterback performances of week...

Fantasy Football Week 8 Preview: Buccaneers at Vikings

Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Minnesota VikingsTampa Bay:  The Buccaneers come off a heartbreaking loss to the New Orleans Saints, dropping them to 2-4.  They led the Saints in the first half, but then Drew Brees brought his team storming back to take the lead.  Josh Freeman showed some mettle, going toe to toe and punch for punch with Brees, only to essentially run out of time and real...

Browns v. Chargers Open Thread

The San Diego Chargers come to the North Coast having had a bye week to buffer an embarrassing Monday nighter against the Broncos in which they lost a 24-0 halftime lead. It was the second straight fourth-quarter collapse for the Chargers (3-3), who’ve been torn apart by the three good quarterbacks they’ve faced (Peyton Manning, Drew Brees, and Matt Ryan), with their three wins...

Saints Nation: 5 Things to Look For in Saints @ Broncos

Gameday!!!!!! The Saints are looking for their third in a row today which would bring them one game closer to .500 and a 3-4 record overall. Fantasy Football Week 8 Start ‘Em, Sit ‘Em

After a slate of less-than-inspiring prime time games over the past week, a perfect elixir comes in Week 8: Peyton Manning versus Drew Brees in a shootout for the ages. Spiller, Fred Jackson, Stevie Johnson, Andre Johnson, Owen Daniels...
