The San Francisco 49ers and the Seattle Seahawks are the two parts that comprise the NFL’s most acrimonious new rivalry.  Both residing in the dreadfully tough NFC West, these two elite football teams share a combination of mutual respect and pure hatred for one another.  The last two seasons, they’ve split their regular season meetings at 1-1 (2-2 total) with the Seahawks emerging victorious in the NFC Championship rubber match.  The question this season, though, is can the 49ers prevent the Seahawks from repeating as Super Bowl champions?  The answer, in my opinion, is that they absolutely can. Now, before your go put money on the 49ers in Las Vegas or on an online sportsbook, just know that I believe the Seahawks are the best team heading into the 2014 season and consider them the early front-runner to win Super Bowl XLIX.  I just happen to believe that if any team is going to keep them from repeating, it will be San Francisco.
