St. Louis Rams Blog:
For the second time in 21 days the St. Louis Rams found a way to lose to a bad Arizona Cardinals football team. The loss drops the Rams to 2-9 for the season. Head coach Steve Spagnuolo's hot seat should now resemble The Great Chicago Fire of 1871.Once again the coaching decisions during the game were flat out bewildering. In the first contest the Rams decided to go for 4th and 1 instead of attempting a 50 yard field goal with 1:41 to play. The Rams then had a 42 yard field goal blocked as time expired. Then in over time the Rams punted to lightning quick Patrick Peterson who returned it 99 yards for the game winning touchdown.Flash forward to Sunday when Spagnuolo was once again at his best. The Rams who had 1st and goal from the three yard line turned the opportunity into 2nd and goal from the 17 and let 31 seconds run off the clock as coach Spagnuolo said their was some disarray! The Rams ended up kicking a field goal on 3rd down to take a 10-3 lead into half time.Midway thro...

Patrick Peterson of the Arizona Cardinals has tied the NFL record by returning his fourth punt for a touchdown in Sunday's game against the St. Louis Rams.
The rookie returned a punt 80 yards in the third quarter to put the Cardinals ahead 20-10. He was untouched as he raced up the middle of the field in becoming the fourth player with four punt returns in a season.
Patrick Peterson was touted as the safest pick in the 2011 NFL Draft, but the Arizona Cardinals may start to argue that Peterson is the best pick in the draft.
The rookie tied the NFL record with his fourth punt return for a touchdown this season, just three weeks after his 99-yard return in overtime beat the St. Louis Rams.
According to NFL.com Peterson stated, "I was...
ST. LOUIS -- No way Patrick Peterson thought he'd get another chance to return a punt for the Cardinals against St. Louis. Peterson tied the NFL record with his fourth punt return for a touchdown this season, three weeks after his 99-yarder in overtime beat the Rams, and Arizona won its seventh in a row in St. Louis with a 23-20 victory.
Patrick Peterson won the last game between the Cardinals and Rams with a punt return touchdown in overtime. He’s now turned this one around with another one. Peterson took a punt 80 yards for a touchdown in the third quarter to give the Cardinals a 20-10 lead over the Rams. Peterson hasn’t been quite the…
ST. LOUIS (AP) -- Beanie Wells ran wild all day. Patrick Peterson needed one touch to make a huge contribution for the Arizona Cardinals.
Peterson tied the NFL record with his fourth punt return for a touchdown this season, Wells set a franchise mark with 228 yards rushing on 27 carries, and the Cardinals won their seventh in a row in St. Louis with a 23-20 victory Sunday over the...

The Rams' run defense gave up 223 yards to Beanie Wells, making this the second time this season that the Rams have allowed an opponent to set a new franchise rushing record. Wells' performance joins Demarco Murray's atop the NFL leaderboard, and there is now little to look forward to but the draft. And open season on the men who might be running it.

ST. LOUIS His disappointment has become routine. After another loss during another disappointing Sunday afternoon, Steve Spagnuolo turned toward a tunnel and was forced to rationalize another result that he struggled to explain. Twelve weeks into the season, the third-year St. Louis Rams head coach jogged toward a corner in the lifeless Edward Jones Dome facing a situation of his...

The Rams played hard today but they didn’t deserve to win. They gave up another TD return on a punt to Patrick Peterson (80 yarder) which they also did in the first meeting. Nick Miller did rip off a 88-yard punt return for a TD for the Rams early in the game today. The offense did not play well for the Rams though and it helped doom them in this game. Sam Bradford completed...

fourth-quarter comeback of their own. But in the end it was the
same old Rams. A 23-20 loss Sunday in a game coach Steve Spagnuolo
